Riddhi is an award-winning writer and reporter in Delhi. Their work focuses on city-making, disability, queerness, housing and culture.
Riddhi's fiction appeared in A Case of Indian Marvels, Aleph’s anthology of India’s finest new writers.
From 2021-22 they led Sound, Fury & 4G , a longread series on gender, tech & development at rural feminist mediahouse, Khabar Lahariya. They were a Mental Health Reporting Fellow (2020). on Covid-19 & chronic psychiatric disability with data journalism site, IndiaSpend for whom they also reported After Stan (2021), a series on the legacy of the late Fr Stan Swamy, land & prisoner's rights in Jharkhand. Riddhi also frequently writes on art for Art India Magazine, and Vogue India among others.
In 2020 they were awarded the TFA Award for Creative Writing for their poetry. Their journalism has won first prize at the SCARF Media for Mental Health Awards (2021) and a UNFP Laadli Award (2022). Their work has been shortlisted for the Wasafiri New Writing Prize (2021), Commonwealth Short Story Prize (2021) & the Himal Short Story Prize (2020).
Riddhi is working on their first novel. Recently they were a Fellow at the Emerging Writers Residency (2024). They were also a South Asia Speaks Fellow (2022) under the mentorship of Deepa Anappara.
